10th ESGLI Meeting – Copenhagen 27-29 October 2027
On behalf of the ESCMID Study Group for Legionella Infections (ESGLI), we are delighted to welcome you to the 10th ESGLI Meeting, which will take place in Copenhagen, Denmark, from 27 to 29 October 2027.
Reaching the tenth edition of our meeting is a significant milestone for our community. It reflects the continued commitment of ESGLI members and collaborators worldwide to advancing knowledge, improving practices, and strengthening cooperation in the field of Legionella infections.
Over the years, the ESGLI Meeting has developed into a recognised international forum where clinicians, microbiologists, environmental scientists, epidemiologists, public health specialists, engineers, and researchers come together to address the many dimensions of Legionella prevention and control.
Scientific exchange and collaboration
The 10th ESGLI Meeting will provide an excellent opportunity to review the latest developments in our field and to discuss the challenges that lie ahead.
The scientific programme will highlight important aspects of Legionella research and practice, including advances in clinical diagnosis and management, epidemiological surveillance, environmental monitoring, laboratory methods, genomic technologies, outbreak investigation, water safety strategies, and approaches to reducing the impact of Legionella infections in healthcare, community, and environmental settings.
As our understanding of Legionella continues to expand, collaboration across disciplines remains essential. This meeting will provide a platform for sharing new data, exchanging experiences, discussing emerging evidence, and developing partnerships that can translate scientific progress into improved prevention and response strategies.
I look forward to welcoming you to Copenhagen for the 10th ESGLI Meeting and to sharing three days of scientific exchange, collaboration, and inspiration.
With my warmest regards,
Dr Anastasia Flountzi Chair ESCMID Study Group for Legionella Infections (ESGLI)
